Curbside pickup of household trash on Fridays

Please have your trash put out by 7:00 AM as occasionally substitute drivers unfamiliar with the 'normal' route may be covering.  Also the trash crew is only responsible for trash contained in bags or trash receptacles and is not required to clean up  broken open bags or  cans tipped over by animals.

  SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT
        MONDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2014

To: Caran Johndro, a resident in the Town of Greenbush, in the County of Penobscot and State of Maine.

GREETINGS:​​​​
     In the Name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn voters of Greenbush, in said County, qualified by law to vote in the Town Affairs, to meet at the Town Hall in said Greenbush on Monday, Dece​​mber 01, 2014 at 7:00 O'clock in the evening, then and there to act on Articles 1-5 of this warrant.  All said Article set forth below to wit:

​​ARTICLE 1: To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.

ARTICLE 2: Shall the Town enact an ordinance titled "GREENBUSH FIRE AND RESCUE DEPARTMENT ORDINANCE".

ARTICLE 3: To see if the town will vote to appropriate $35,000.00 additional funding for the Legal Assistance budget from the General Fund balances.  The purpose of this article is to cover the cost of legal fee's incurred with the proposed MRC project.​​​​

ARTICLE 4: To see if the town will vote to appropriate $34,645.00 additional funding for The Fire Department Building Maintenance budget from the General Fund balances.  the purpose of this article is to cover the cost of maintenance of the Cardville Fire Station, itemized below:

Phase One (1): New roof, entrances ($8,453.00)
Phase Two (2): Siding ($9,592.00)
Phase Three (3): Remove mold, interior walls, door opener, shower, storage ($10,600.00)
Phase Four (4): Replace driveway entrance to bay ($6,000.00)

ARTICLE 5: The residents of Greenbush hereby acknowledge​​​​​​​​​ the existence and prior use of the Station Road, so called a right of way over and along the existing roadway leading from the westerly sideline of Military Road to the easterly line of the Maine Central Railroad Company.  The purpose of this article is to acknowledge the existence of the prescriptive easements, whose width is assumed to be town rods, over and along said Station road for the inhabitants of the Town of Greenbush, and the mere non-use of the roadway does not constitute a formal abandonment.  The approval of this article does not constitute the adoption of a public way and the Town of Greenbush does not assume responsibility for maintenance and/or repair of said Station Road.
