Registrar of Voters         Jerry Davis
The Town of Greenbush holds their yearly elections to correspond with the State Primaries in June.  Due to the State regulations concerning the school systems we now hold our Town Meeting at least a week prior to elections as the Residents must vote by ballot to either accept or decline the School budget.

When a matter of importance necessitates a Special Town Meeting will be called by the Board of Selectmen during the year.   Notices of elections and Town Meetings are posted at the Town Office, the Greenbush Post Office, Applebee's Store and Ketch's Olamon Market as well as in the Penobscot Times. Elections are held in the Town Hall 9:00 AM to 8:00PM and annual town meetings are held at the Helen S. Dunn School.

Have you registered to vote?
If not the process is made easy by the State of Maine.  Residents may register to vote at any time including at the polls on Election Day.  You can register at the Town Office; Motor Vehicle branch office;  in most state & federal social service agencies, or at voter registration drives.

Completed voter registration cards may be hand delivered or mailed to your town office or city hall, or sent to the Secretary of State's Office in Augusta, unless it is during the period in wich the voting list has been sealed (21 days prior to the election). Persons attempting to register during this period will be instructed to register at the polling place on election day or at the Town Office.

No matter where you register, youmust provide proof of residencywhich includes, but is not limited to, your driver's license number and/or social security number.
